Event title: Q1 FY2027 RG2 Operating and Financial Update

1. Flash Conclusion

Continuum Restricted Group 2 (RG2) reported continued operating growth in Q1 FY2027, with generation, revenue and management-defined Adjusted EBITDA all above Q1 FY2026, while operating cash flow rose to INR2,218 million. The quarter is consistent with the operating recovery described in the 18 September 2026 issuer summary, and the disclosed INR845 million note repayment provides evidence of continuing scheduled debt reduction. It does not, however, establish covenant DSCR, DSRA sufficiency, mandatory cash-sweep progress, restricted-payment status, hedge coverage or the current USD principal balance; the decline in reported cash/bank balances and higher option-premium cost keep those note-level questions material.

2. What Was Announced

The official RG2 MDA and Special Purpose Combined Interim Condensed Financial Statements cover the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The interim material is unaudited, and the issuer's investor page does not display an independent public disclosure date. This flash therefore uses the period end as the Event date; it does not infer a disclosure date from the download URL.

Operating capacity was 1,026MWp at quarter-end, with C&I and discom fixed-in-tariff capacity representing 66.7% and 33.3%, respectively. Generation exported increased to 678 million kWh from 663 million kWh in Q1 FY2026. Plant availability was 98.30%, internal-grid availability 98.96%, and external-grid availability 99.91% for the fully operational portfolio.

Operating revenue increased 1.5% year on year to INR3,494 million. Adjusted EBITDA, as defined by management in the offering-circular reconciliation, increased to INR3,168 million from INR3,141 million. Net cash from operating activities increased to INR2,218 million from INR1,820 million. These figures show continued operating cash generation, but the EBITDA reconciliation and cash-flow statement do not disclose the amount of cash retained for noteholders after reserves, distributions and the contractual waterfall.

3. Credit Read-Through

The operating update is supportive because it follows FY2026's recovery in generation and revenue rather than reversing it. High reported availability and the 15 million kWh year-on-year generation increase reduce concern that the FY2025 decline alone represented an immediate deterioration in the portfolio's operating base. That inference must remain limited: the disclosure does not provide resource-normalised output, project-level P50/P75/P90 assumptions, curtailment, customer-level tariff or offtaker-level ageing.

The financing detail is more mixed. Cash and bank balances fell to INR2,536 million at 30 June 2026 from INR4,109 million at 31 March 2026. Management attributes the movement mainly to June debt servicing and repayment. It reports INR845 million of 7.50% note repayment, INR2,405 million of finance costs paid on the notes and INR567 million of other finance costs, including INR258 million of option-premium payment. Option-premium cost accrued was INR547 million, versus INR296 million in Q1 FY2026, following additional hedges. This demonstrates that scheduled servicing and hedging have a meaningful call on reported cash; it does not indicate payment stress, but neither does it demonstrate reserve adequacy or covenant headroom.

The event does not change the summary's central framing. CGRNEG remains a restricted-group renewable portfolio exposure rather than a direct claim on the wider Continuum group. The reported C&I/discom capacity mix and domestic co-obligor context are useful operating background, but the reviewed public documents do not confirm that current note-level collateral, cash pooling, DSRA, cash sweep or restricted-payment protections operate in any specific way. Investors should therefore read the positive operating figures alongside, not in place of, the missing note-level evidence.

4. Key Numbers

Generation exported (million kWh) 663 678 Higher output supports revenue generation, subject to resource and curtailment limits.
Operating revenue (INR million) 3,442 3,494 1.5% growth.
Adjusted EBITDA (INR million) 3,141 3,168 Management-defined metric; not covenant DSCR.
Net operating cash flow (INR million) 1,820 2,218 Positive cash generation, not a waterfall-cash measure.
Note principal repayment (INR million) 720 845 Disclosed scheduled repayment; does not quantify the residual USD principal.
Option premium cost (INR million) 296 547 Higher hedging cost is a refinancing and cash-retention monitoring point.
Cash and bank balances (INR million) Not stated 2,536 Reported balance, not verified unrestricted liquidity or DSRA.

5. What To Watch Next

The next relevant disclosures should show whether generation and collections remain supportive through the seasonal cycle, whether receivable days normalise after the Q1 increase to 30 days, and whether hedging cost remains elevated. For a bond-specific assessment, the higher priority evidence remains a compliance certificate, covenant DSCR, actual and required DSRA, MCS due/paid/deferred schedule, restricted-payment status, current USD principal and hedge coverage by payment date. No public source reviewed for this flash resolves those matters.
